Re: Art resources: The thread: The opening post
You thought you'd see the last of this thread, eh? Oh no, because I bring to the table one of the best approaches to drawing contained in a single book, and all I had to do was search the name on duckduckgo, how crazy is that. Behold! https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8VO-JQCy3HgVzBhZGtiN3hZWHc/edit ...

Re: The Vast Error Thread
I'm very grateful for all the answers, thank you everyone for devoting the time to answering me. That said, the whole shebang about the wiki: I'm well aware that it isn't up-to-date, but there were still things, there and otherwise, that got me thinking enough to write these questions. Again, very g...

Re: The Vast Error Thread
Arcjec calming her down seems to indicate that Taz is finally willing to let people back into her life. Hope this clears up one of your inquiries "Her chucklevoodoo holds the power of 'Intimidation' and is constantly active, shown through the purple glints in her pupils. [...] Taz is a notably angr...

Re: The Vast Error Thread
CONtinuing from where I left off, I just need to get a couple more questions answered, I swear. In the wiki, it's stated that Taz's intimidation chucklefuck is always active (as shown by the swirls in her eye), and only Albion can turn it off, but in the (as of right now) latest page and flash withi...

Re: The Vast Error Thread
Okay, that last post was just joking about, this one's serious. For the last... 3 days or so, I've reread all of Vast Error, paying deeper attention to details and mashing them with insights I already had, and I've gotten a deeper understanding of it, although many of my points previously stated (ar...

I see this thread's a bit dead, so here's my pitch on some of these designs. Tell me what you think!
And here's an extra: Shazam Arcjec!
Any feedback is very much appreciated!

Re: A proposition for the state of Homestuck's narrative (or how Skaia is to blame for it all)
I'll answer to this last reply on a point-by-point analysis, depending on how relevant it is to the thread at hand, apologies for the delay. - I guess he took input from the fandom. No more than any other story with an online following, but on a quicker timescale than it would have if it were a tele...

Re: A proposition for the state of Homestuck's narrative (or how Skaia is to blame for it all)
I meant to talk about the barrenness as a neglected aspect of the setting to be explored. Exploring the setting will help inform our understandings of the characters, and vice versa. Ah, but loop around back to my point, we shall, for the setting being barren does not inform us about the characters...

Re: A proposition for the state of Homestuck's narrative (or how Skaia is to blame for it all)
Since you complained about my "rambling", I added 2 line br8ks to that previous post, I hope that clears some stuff up. I don't think the settings in Homestuck are particularly neglected. It's more like they're intentionally barren. SBURB targets socially isolated people, those who would not miss an...

Re: A proposition for the state of Homestuck's narrative (or how Skaia is to blame for it all)
This is a good way to put it thorondraco, but, my focus with this thread is not to simply try to extrapolate from the information we have on Skaia, or even to discuss Skaia itself, but to call attention to the forgotten narrative role it has (think Lord English as the villain instead of who he is), ...

Re: A proposition for the state of Homestuck's narrative (or how Skaia is to blame for it all)
thorondraco, mate. None of what you wrote has anything to do with what I wrote and what this thread is about. Skaia doesn't even decide what's canon, it's not even a plural entity, we don't KNOW what Skaia does fully other than be the core of SBURB and manipulate the portals for the meteors. Please,...

Re: A proposition for the state of Homestuck's narrative (or how Skaia is to blame for it all)
I'd like to address some of the replies thus far, clarify some stuff, expand upon it, that sort of thing. I think a lot of fans are under the impression that Skaia is somehow benevolent even though its main motivation is to FUCK, which is something I consider amoral. I guess it's because the Skaia l...

A proposition for the state of Homestuck's narrative (or how Skaia is to blame for it all)
Hello, hello, thank you for clicking on this thread and reading this, my name's Ashley. I've been "studying"/"researching" Homestuck for... about 2 years, coming up at 3, and I've come to an interesting conclusion of sorts regarding all of it. I would like to preface this by saying that this is not ...

Re: Questions and theories about the Ultimate self
I explained this to a handful of acquaintances some months ago. Turns out that a Philosophy teacher that has a master's degree teaches more! So, Plato. Greek guy, thought a lot, wrote a bunch. He thought so hard that he theorized that everything that exists is an imperfect copy of some ideal origina...
