TG: hammerkind?
EB: yeah.
TG: ok that will be the permanent allocation for your specibus
TG: i guess i should have mentioned that
EB: uh...
TG: hope you like hammers dude!
EB: yeah, that's fine i guess. i can't imagine it's going to be all that relevant.
in a similar vein, Aradia at one point had music boxes in her own hive, which she may have used to alchemise her own time machines.I'm not sure what he used to make them, other than his record players from home. Looks like some sort of mystical gear component he probably plundered from the local industrial ruins. He probably went on a lot of exciting but lonely adventures on this planet we'll never get to see or hear about.
I used to have one I used for character creation for roleplays a long, loooooong time ago, but it's gone alongside all my old pesterchum logs and everything on the old MSPAF. Sorry.foreverFlummoxed wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 9:01 pmThis is something that has still haunted me even with many hours of google search and asking around: does anyone out there know of a fully complete collection of the character sprites used in Homestuck? I mean, what sprites are you missing? The reason a 'fully complete' collection is hard or even impossible to find is because the number of characters, let alone the number of sprites, is so enormous as you can never be completely sure if you're ACTUALLY done?? The best you can really do is slowly accumulate a collection as close to complete as you can manage and keep adding to it when you realize you're missing something. So is there any sprite/sprites in particular you're looking for? I know I put together a pretty decent collection of sprites taken from Collide to use for Act Omega.foreverFlummoxed wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 9:01 pmThis is something that has still haunted me even with many hours of google search and asking around: does anyone out there know of a fully complete collection of the character sprites used in Homestuck? This is essentially the method I use. I get a colour sampler tool of some sort that displays the colour values and check it with other sprites I have (e.g eridans text colour matches his hair dye and using a sprite that matches I determined the skin and different horn colours of the trolls) The whole correct colour thing is just something that for no reason bothers me and I might be one of the few who is being particular on it for some reasonJoyfulldreams wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 9:43 pmI mean, a way to confirm that sprites have correct colors would just be to open them in photoshop or something?
this is essentially THE reason a lot of sprites you find won't be in the 'correct' colours. homestuck's panels are uploaded in a GIF format, which has a limited colour map, meaning that a sprite appearing in a panel might have any number of its colours slightly changed to match other colours in the image.foreverFlummoxed wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 10:31 pmI've also noticed certain file formats don't preserve colours (PNG) and others destroy any semblance of image quality/resolution (JPG)
This is something I have noticed, and is the reason I search for consistencies and inconsistencies in quality and colours which has lead me to determining the colour palettes of Trolls and both Space and Time god tier outfits and while finding all the sprites (all of them) will be frustrating and unforgiving, I will eventually finish the collection, no matter how long it takes it will be done. (I'm not angry I'm just being very determined, this isn't meant to cause Strife)JakeMorph wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 10:33 pmthis is essentially THE reason a lot of sprites you find won't be in the 'correct' colours. homestuck's panels are uploaded in a GIF format, which has a limited colour map, meaning that a sprite appearing in a panel might have any number of its colours slightly changed to match other colours in the image.
