Found also on the Kings' brooches and banners on both moons. In online chess annotation, plus over minus (+/-) indicates a white advantage over black (and (-/+) to imply the opposite). Ironic, no? Considering Derse will always win without the players' intervention.

Additionally plugging the word "soldier" into google translate from English to Chinese will net you the character 士 in addition to vague connections to "warrior" and "knight". No expert translation by about a googol, but still neat.

Nepeta's hair coming out from her hat make the fangs, the hat is the eyes, her horns are the ears, she literally has a catface. The hair fangs took me years.

the first time i tried reading homestuck (circa 2012-ish) i didn't click on any of the pesterlogs and quit after like 200 pages. i didn't start reading again until almost a year later when my friend informed me of my mistake.

also, i didn't notice until my current re-read with a friend that all the alpha kid's classpects were foreshadowed in their intro pages.

my friend, during their reread, is now noticing for the first time some of Homestuck's more obvious sex jokes. I'm now noticing some of the obvious meta jokes. I missed stuff like "The Medium" the first times around.

I used to pronounce some names ridiculously wrong.

Also the first time I read HS back in 2016 (and only got a little under halfway through) I mistook the page https://www.homestuck.com/story/305 which was intended to be a Problem Sleuth refrence as actual foreshadowing to how they will summon horrorterrors later on.
Spoiler Alert: It wasn't and I was immensely disappointed.

that kind of reminds me of a theory i once heard where PS and HS shared a universe and the imaginary realm was the furthest ring.

One that really comes to mind is a bit convoluted. It took me a while to realize there was a bunch of oil spots and hands appearing in the backgrounds. Then i learned why.
